Jamie Carr is a performer, choreographer, and teacher with a strong background in classical ballet. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance from California State University Long Beach (CSULB) and holds an Associate's degree in Photography. Jamie is also a nationally certified teacher with the American Ballet Theatre. Currently, she performs with several professional companies in Denver and teaches at Colorado Dance Arts, Motion Dance Movement, and is excited to start working with the students at Ballet Melange Academy. As the founder and Artistic Director of performance-based contemporary dance company Authentic: Grooves, Jamie's choreography blends diverse movement styles, inspired by a holistic, somatic-based approach that encourages exploration and kinesthetic creativity.
